Students from across all subject areas took part in an action packed morning of employer engagement, career exploration, and skills development, all designed to support their transition from college into the world of work, apprenticeships, or further study.

🧩 Skills Bootcamp Activities
Students enjoyed a range of interactive employability activities, from skill building games to one to one CV reviews and interview coaching sessions. These activities provided students with practical advice and confidence boosting experiences to help them stand out in a competitive job market.

🔍 Live Job Board
The Bootcamp featured a bustling Live Job Board showcasing real job, apprenticeship, internship, and work experience opportunities. Students were able to browse current vacancies and connect directly with employers offering exciting pathways into the world of work.
🤝 Employer Engagement
Some of the UK’s leading employers were in attendance, including Samsung, Thames Water, Morgan Sindall, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Oak Lodge Primary School, and Jannah’s Day Nursery, along with many others. Students had the invaluable opportunity to network with industry experts, gain career insights, and discover potential opportunities.

🎤 Career Talk Podcast
Throughout the morning, students and employers joined discussions on the Career Talk Podcast, sharing real life career journeys, tips for success, and insights into what today’s employers are looking for.
📝 Career Commitment Wall & Destination Table
Students were encouraged to set personal career goals at the vibrant Career Commitment Wall, while the Destination Table helped them plan their next steps with a personalised Career Roadmap, ensuring that every student left the event with a clear action plan for their future.
Building Futures Together
The Destination Skills Bootcamp 2025 reflected South Bank Colleges’ ongoing commitment to preparing students for real world success. By connecting education with employment, and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need, the event has played a vital role in shaping the future careers of those who attended.
Feedback from students and employers alike was overwhelmingly positive, with many students securing interviews, work experience opportunities, and apprenticeship leads as a direct result of their participation.
