As part of Black History Month, the South Bank Colleges Nursery has welcomed a very special visitor — “Pops”, a Jamaican granddad puppet who has quickly become a favourite among the children.
Pops shares stories about his life, family and Jamaican culture, sparking wonderful conversations and curiosity. The children have loved talking with him and learning about traditions, music and food.
Through Pops, we have been celebrating identity, respect and belonging — key messages that make Black History Month such a meaningful part of nursery life.
