This is your chance to support fellow students and teachers, experiment with emerging tech, and contribute to making South Bank Colleges a truly digital-first institution.
What Is a Student Digital Innovator?
Student Digital Innovators play a vital role in enhancing the digital experience across the college community. From improving how staff and students use platforms like Microsoft Teams and Office 365, to creating training materials, running peer workshops, and testing new educational technologies, this is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a digital support role.
You’ll be working 40 hours over 20 weeks, based at either our Clapham or Nine Elms campuses. This placement counts towards your work experience — and better yet, you’ll be helping shape how digital education is delivered.
What Will You Do?
As a Student Digital Innovator, you might:

Support fellow students with digital tools like email, Teams, and online portals.

Run digital skills workshops on apps, AI, or presentation tools.

Help troubleshoot common issues like logins or basic device support.

Gather and share feedback to help improve digital platforms.

Create engaging resources for staff and students.

Promote digital literacy, responsible tech use, and online safety.

Collaborate on digital projects — from AI and accessibility to cybersecurity and wellbeing.

Lead social media tips and campaigns for digital awareness.
You’ll also have the chance to suggest and shape your own tech-based initiatives.

Training will be provided — so if you're eager to learn, don’t worry if you’re not an expert in everything just yet!
